FlatRate Moving Green Policies
As a socially responsible corporation, FlatRate recognizes the increasing need for eco-consciousness. We’ve implemented several green policies and continue to explore solutions to help decrease our impact on the planet. We respect our customer’s values and do our best to move you with a clean conscience.
• We are a member of Terra Pass, an organization that helps us to reduce our carbon footprint by funding
clean energy and efficiency projects that have verified reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
• Since 2004, we’ve been gradually converting our fleet to trucks with environmentally efficient technology.
Currently, 20% of our fleet operates with Diesel Particulate Filters, which reduce hydrocarbons by 50%
and particulate matter by 90+% over the current 2004 emission standards.
• We recycle and/or reuse the majority of our materials and protective equipment.
• A solar-paneled roof powers our Bronx headquarters.
